Mission
We provide a free personalized education that results in students earning a college degree during high school.
About Us
Odyssey Early College and Career Options partners with Pikes Peak State College, Ed Equity, Western Colorado University, and Colorado State University-Pueblo, to offer a coherent and structured curriculum, with high schools and college-level work blended into a single academic program.
Our students graduate with an Associate degree, sixty credit hours towards their Bachelor's degree, or a high school diploma.
Our four-year university-bound students focus on taking guaranteed to transfer credit classes towards an Associate of Arts or Science degree, while our career and technical-bound students earn credit towards an Associate of General Studies or Associate of Applied Science.
While on campus, students enjoy a rigorous and relevant education, with highly qualified adjunct faculty members who are excited to grow students to be their best selves. Once the college courses offered on Odyssey ECCO’s campus are complete, students are granted the opportunity to take the remaining courses required for their associate degree and designation at one of the PPSC campuses around Colorado Springs.
Academic Program
An early college is a state-designated high school with a four-year curriculum that gives students the opportunity to earn, upon graduation, a high school diploma, associate degree, a postsecondary credential, or 60 college credit hours. Students attend Odyssey ECCO and take “Guarantee Transfer” college classes taught by Pikes Peak State College and Colorado State University-Pueblo adjunct professors. Freshman and incoming students are enrolled in college preparation courses in the form of honors classes in English, Algebra, Multicultural US History, Biology, Avid, and Career and Technical Education. Students add college-level courses to their academic schedule once they are prepared and qualify. The academic program offered to students at Odyssey ECCO is comprised of a total of eight 95-minute block classes per semester. Students attend a combination of honors and college coursework, with a maximum of 15 college credit hours per semester. Block classes are semester-long and meet three times a week.
